It is called great Hamath by Amos 6:2 (חֲמַת רַבָּה, חֲמַת֯ only here). ׳ח is mentioned with דַּמֶּשֶׂק, צֹר, צִידוֺן in prophecy against land Hadrach (חַדְרָךְ) Zechariah 9:2, compare Jeremiah 49:23.
