Metaphorically, of the less difficult truths of the Christian religion, 1 Corinthians 3:2; Hebrews 5:12f (Quintilian 2, 4, 5 "doctoribushocessecuraevelim,uttenerasadhucmentesmorenutricummolliusalantetsatiarivelutquodamjucundiorisdisciplinaelactepatiantur," (cf. Siegfried, Philo von Alex., p. 329, cf. p. 261)); of the word of God, by which souls newly regenerate are healthfully nourished unto growth in the Christian life, 1 Peter 2:2.
